It doesn't matter. Viter registration and updated rolls are the foundation of the voting system. The bank vault of voting. If you don't reconcile the money in a bank vault, then the entire banks Financials are in peril and can never be trusted.
Try building a home on a faulty, out of code, never quality checked materials. You can keep the house as nice and clean as you want, it will crumble at some point.

Having them on the rolls is concerning enough, but we need to know how many of them cast a vote and how many times since their demise.

Well, from that article it sounds like a purge of deceased voters off the voter rolls happened… but there were 26,000 that PILF claimed should have also been removed.
It was a little light on details and somewhat unclear as to what PILF alleged.
Sounds like the lawsuit was to use 26,000 reported number to force open access that is not previously granted, and the judge ruled on that.
I didn’t see where 26,000 were added back.
But yeah, if any were added back, that would defy logic.
It was likely just an alleged remainder after the purge.

Then you already know that I’ve supported purging voter rolls.
That is an entirely different scenario from granting open access to everything and causing confusion based on false claims.

Now voter rolls with dead people or people who don't live in the jurisdiction anymore that's a completely different issue
But I was merely responding to the non-citizens voting issue in this thread
I did a lot of work with Catherine and Truth Vote eighteenish years ago on cleansing the voter rolls
Now getting dead people and people who have moved off the voting rolls needs to be done better; we did that in Texas, a project I worked on for years
Texas has done so well that they're now spending taxpayer dollars needlessly
