Four arrests hit NYC hard yesterday federal charges against execs from BHRAGS Home Care Corp., a nonprofit raking in $200M+ in city contracts for migrant shelters since 2022.
They're accused of embezzling $1.3M, steering fat subcontracts for $200K+ kickbacks to cronies like ex-NYPD Sgt. Edouardo St. Fort.

Named in Warrants
A March 19 search warrant points fingers at Councilwoman Farah Louis (D-Brooklyn) and her sister Debbie Louis, Gov.
Hochul's top NYC aide, for possibly taking bribes to funnel funds to BHRAGS.
Neither's charged yet, but Debbie's on leave after Hochul's office caught wind last week.

Bigger Picture
This ties into the migrant shelter boom under ex-Mayor Adams BHRAGS expanded fast amid the asylum influx. Mayor Mamdani says the city's auditing those contracts now.

They need to talk to Tasha at BR COA on how to do shady things in office and not be charged with anything.

So four low level staffers will take the fall for the leaders? Awesome.
