Hey Toddy/PbHog....

It's amazing that 3rd graders have more common sense than 100% of the LEFT!

quote:

A Missouri youth baseball team is moving ahead with a raffle of an AR-15 rifle despite criticism it received after a similar gun was used to kill 17 in a Florida high school.

Coach Levi Patterson told The Kansas City Star the fundraiser for the third-grade team in Neosho, Missouri, had been planned before last week’s shooting in Parkland, Florida.

quote:

He says his heart breaks for the shooting victims, but said gun raffles have been going on for years. He also said none of the children on the team would be forced to sell raffle tickets. Players selling tickets range in age from 7 to 9.

The weapon was offered by a player’s father who is a co-founder of a local gun store. The winner must pass a background check.

Patterson has been criticized on Facebook, The Star reported. One commenter asked if he is tone deaf.

“AR15 kills seventeen so you raffle a gun for child sports? Lord, people wake the hell up. Justify all you want but you are wrong, period.”

Patterson responded, “gun raffles have been going on for years. Evil has and will always exist.

Machines are getting smarter and smarter. First opening doors and vacuuming floors, now we've got them doing their own school shootings.

He's right but he will be attacked by the tolerant left.

Yeah - raffling off an AR for kids sports in the wake of Parkland is beyond stupid.

I say this as a gun owner myself.

Free to raffle off whatever is donated. Just probably a little soon to use an AR-15 to raise money for kids. Couldn't the gun store owner offer up something else? Home defense shotgun, handgun, commemorative shotgun, deer rifle with scope, there are lots of alternatives and not have to infringe on the 2nd amendment. Just give the AR-15 a little cooling off period. Just a little common sense needed here.

Edit: Downvotes, really? I'm pro gun pro 2nd amendment and own multiple guns. Just asking why a little compassion couldn't be used at the moment. Everything doesn't have to be a political statement.

No, but it's amazing that you would call this "a common sense" move.

People that make decisions based on “tone” rather than logic are slaves to propaganda and lack self determination.

17 people being murdered is propanda? What point does he prove by carrying on with the raffle?

They're right. We need to ban and destroy all these now. Inanimate objects killing people with no aid. It's apparent this is the beginning of Skynet.

No it’s not. It’s actually pretty genius. They’ll get record sales. What if it was a car being raffled off? Would you cry about the insensitivity of it because of all the DWI fatalities that come from cars?
