Former Notre Dame football star Paul Duncan died last week at age 35, the athlete’s wife announced.

Duncan played as an offensive lineman for the Fighting Irish from 2005-09, and then briefly for the NFL on the Denver Broncos, ND Insider reported. He went into cardiac arrest on July 15, Duncan’s wife revealed. The couple share two children.

“Yesterday, Friday July 15th, Paul went into cardiac arrest while on a run in our neighborhood,” Ellen Duncan shared via Instagram. “Today he was pronounced brain dead. We will have a medical examination to understand cause of death.”

35 is middle age?

You must still be in High School

35 is closer to a true middle aged male than 50.

That's just not true. Look at pro sports. 35 year olds can still be the best in the game, better than the 18-22 year olds. At 50 that is impossible.

What TF are you talking about? Nobody even implied this isnt true and it sounds like you’re talking to a kindergartener

35 is still very close to middle aged male in America. It damn sure isn’t 1/3 age.

Most people don't think of it as exactly halfway through life. That's why I said it "sounds" like something different. Most people have a conception of middle age as being past your prime, over the hill. 40s and 50s. Specifically if we are relating a pro athlete where these parameters are clearly set. You are technically correct but colloquially wrong.

OK now that you’ve got that out of your system do you care to comment on the obvious point of the thread rather than a discussion of middle aged which is statistically 39 in the US

Too many deaths in fairly young people. Someone needs to be held accountable.

And they’re still jabbing our servicemen, I assume. Not to mention the push to stick it in children. It’s sick.

Sounds like a bunch of millennials that don’t want to come to grip with their mortality.

78 / 2 = 39. Statistical middle age. I’m 53 in a a few weeks, I’ve probably got 15-25 years left in me tops, and I’m good with that.

Auto spell , that’s why it capitalized the F in forest . But hey, that’s a tremendous gotcha.
