I think the current definition works, whatever that may be. 17 or 18 can make their own choice, 15 or 16 if a parent signs off on it.

Traditionally, Morality was determined by Religious Principle, accepted by individuals/groups which united them therein, and by collective extension formed the basis of Societal Law. Such was expressed in the Founding; I.e., that Rights are inalienable and come from God...and not the Collective/Government.

To the degree that Religion (God paradigm) is discredited, and rejected, *morality* then becomes a matter of timely, cultural relativity and under the purview of the Collective/State. Whatever the folk or the Ruling Elites approve of, whatever does not offend re the principle of relative equality...becomes the moral principle. Political Correctness...censorship...further discrediting of Religious Principle.

People with no fear of being 'judged' in an 'afterlife' - or even no afterlife period - have NO incentive to police their basic instinctual feelings. Hopelessness, cynicism and desperation prevails. Across the spectrum...not just some sexual genetic eccentricity in a small group, but deep and profound and highly societally problematic feelings like envy, and the inclination to revert to Darwinian instinct. Which is exactly what we now see in many, who murder with no conscience. And with an impotent *government* based on relative morality trying to herd heathen cats who believe themselves to rightfully equal/entitled in all ways. Recipe for disaster.

Mother Nature doing work. Strap in.

Spot on. The moral relativist has no real basis for condemning opposing views because by their own worldview, there is no one, universal "right" way. Therefore all views must be equally valid and applicable based on the societal context that one finds themselves in at any given time.

So if you don't believe in fairy tales you have no reason to be a good person? Believing in an afterlife would appear to be the epitome of desperation. Religious people make me laugh.

Why do you care what consenting adults do?

It creates massive issues dealing with successions,
paternity, childcare, adoption, retirement pensions, and government benefits that otherwise are fixed by a very simple set of rules. However, the gender fluid, sex fluid, polygamists, and pedo-sympathizers don't seem to care all that much. To them, it's an issue of freedom, and inconvenience and tons of otherwise unnecessary litigation does not override that.

See, this is what happens when government gets into the marriage (or literally any other) business: absurd, unintended results and massive wastes of time and money for all parties.
