Using jet liners as missiles against those towers had never occurred to people. It’s easy to see the potential in hindsight, but no one ever thought this would happen.
Not true, it occurred to Ramzi Yousef when he was a part of the Bojinka Plot prior to 1995. Which means it occurred to the FBI, who investigated him.

CIA doing CIA things
quote:
In 1999, O'Neill sent a close associate named Mark Rossini to work in the CIA's Bin Laden Issue Station in Virginia. O'Neill had a conflict with CIA station chief Michael Scheuer: O'Neill wanted Rossini to stay at the station and feed him information about what the CIA was doing,[7] while Rich Blee, who had been appointed by CIA chief George Tenet to head of the Bin Laden Issue Station,[8][9] wanted Rossini out working in the field. Later, when the Bin Laden Issue Station learned that bin Laden's associates Nawaf al-Hazmi and Khalid al-Mihdhar were headed to the US with visas, Rossini and his colleague Doug Miller attempted to alert O'Neill, but Blee blocked the message. Mihdhar and Hazmi became two of the hijackers of American Airlines Flight 77 on 9/11

We didn't have much in the way of domestic intelligence agencies back then
The hell we didn't, that was just the story that was told
quote:
And the intelligence agencies we had didn't talk to each other.
Again, that was the story that was told. In this case, they didn't talk to each other for a reason, because they wanted the terrorists in the country.
quote:
The Soviet Union collapsed in 1989. Neither Bush I, Clinton, or anyone else with authority recognized that the next big conflict would be Middle Eastern terrorism
bullshite, they had been dealing with it for 10 years up close and personal. And don't forget we had drone's flying over Bin Laden at Tarmac farms in '98. They knew exactly what was going on.
quote:
They had precious few agents who spoke farsi, and hardly any presence in the Middle East.
How did we know where everything was and were dropping bombs within a months time?
quote:
The FBI wasn't in much position to investigate foreign terrorists in the US
bullshite, that's their fricking job, and ask John O'Neill how that went, oh wait, you can't because he's no longer with us because the FBI blackballed him.
quote:
and the red flags raised by the terrorists' activities in the US were not sufficient to garner much attention.
bullshite, it was intentionally ignored.

But we have to take off our shoes to get through the airport, our own government spies on us constantly and the Taliban control Afghanistan.
Just the way they planned it and now they are doing the same thing with Wuhan Flu and the sheep lap it up
