So, you believe every statue of someone constitutes a “graven image”?
No. But I do think people place too much emphasis on man and not God.

Probably. I don’t know that that has anything to do with statues necessarily, though.

For those who downvoted my” graven images” post. Take a look at the statues, friezes and artwork in Washington DC, and notice how much of it is pagan. It’s almost exclusively pagan. This is simply fact.
What does this have to do with the Trump statue? You know you don't have to view everything through a religious lens, right?

America, the land of graven images
Never heard about ancient Egypt, eh? Or Greece or Rome or China or North Korea...

How does listing other former nations who had graven images exempt America from the same practice ?

We have a misguided belief ( I’ve been guilty of this) that if our politician or person gets in office, somehow, everything with the world will be right. And we spend tons of energy, time and money, trying to push our party or man, thinking somehow it will make our lives better or easier. And it might, temporality, but it won’t matter as far as eternity is concerned.
Our efforts, time and resources should be spent on eternal and not temporal things that are vanishing.
God can accomplish what he wants no matter who is in office, and our allegiance and praise should be towards him and not man.
