Ok. What are they going to do to ensure that an independent Texas won't drift left? Austin, Dallas, Houston and the wine moms are going to keep voting their easily manipulated emotions.

I'll answer this. The majority of my rather large family are native Texans. Texans, for the most part, don't see left and right, they're just Texans. They could actually find middle ground on issues that currently divide the rest of us.

It's the transplants that this movement will have issues with.

Agree.

Dont agree at all with this. Texas is going to secede in order to form a moderate nation? No way. Both sides will be unhappy and a schism would form right off the bat.

TEXIT from a liberal perspective:

-GOP permanently loses 38 electoral votes
-Removes 29 million obnoxious, self-righteous gun nuts from the general population
-Never have to hear from their dipshit AG again

I can’t imagine many hard left liberals would disagree with you.
Texas liberals, OTOH, tend to be more rooted in self-determination.

What? You think there are 29 million gun nuts in Texas? Are you dim?

And then Britain would have somebody to laugh at.

Is the room for bipartisanship?

Absolutely, though admittedly a larger percentage of the movement is conservative than liberal.
That’s simply a factor of more conservatives than liberals wanting freedom from a large, central government.
But a straw poll a few years back showed that 30% of Texas Democrats favored secession.
Time will tell where they stand on the issue now

How do we get rid of the Putos, Castros and Sheila Jackson Lees? They can’t come along. Hell I’m not even sure I want Crenshaw.

I’m in Hays Co which has just recently flipped blue due to the influx of CA libtards. There’s even a master planned community named Caliterra.

There needs to be a purge first.

Federal border protection ceases immediately. Lot more to choose from outside Home Depot.

Lots of austinites also moving out of Travis Co due to unaffordability and the homeless, awful leadership.

Considering their dental hygiene, it won't be too big or loud.

Who gives a shite what Brits think?

Horrible.
I drive through Dripping Springs at least once a month on my way to Fredericksburg.
It definitely has a California feel.
Inevitably I come to a screeching halt on that stretch; the traffic makes me want to cut someone.

Do you have a place there? It’s a good time place!

My dad has a ranch there.
He relocated from Houston about 5 years back.
I loathe the drive there (from Houston)—mainly due to that Austin/Dripping Springs stretch—but I love hangin’ there as much as I can.
