We are settling in new home in New Orleans. Master bath has jacuzzi tub and I thought I might try it tonight. Then I wondered what the risk of electrocution was. Feedback appreciated.

If electricity touches the water you might die.

Turn it on and throw the cat in it.

Very high. 1 in 3 baths end in electrocution...but the jets feel so good on weary muscles. Worth the risk imo.

I wouldn't recommend blow drying or curling your hair while bathing

If it was done properly and has a GFCI then the chance is almost 0.

I only hang out with OT 11s with doctorates, porsches and are sole heirs to their wealthy but dying parents' fortunes.

check it yourself...should be a gfci outlet somewhere (typically over the sink) in the bathroom...trip it to be sure the tub won't come on...

The thought crossed my mind. If she lived, she will make a major mess with her wet fur. BTW she attacked my 15 year old dog yesterday. The hound's days are numbered.
