Left this morning and got about an hour offshore and started having some electronics problems.
Turned around and came in.

what kind of electronic problems? if just GPS and sonar yall should have kept going. any platform >50 ft will be holding snapper

conundrum lost GPS and sonar before leaving the bay yesterday and still caught a shite ton of red snapper, mangroves, cobia, mahi, and i think some blackfin

Sorry for the problems, but you didn't miss anything. We went out yesterday and got the shite beat out of us... It was too rough to even set the rig hook. Not fun and no fish. Burned too much fuel for crappy looking water and 8 foot swells...

Nice. I love fresh snapper. I got to go soon if I can find the time.

Still, checked the traps so I've got blue crabs for dinner, and I don't have to live in Arky. Win/win.

Shame on y'all going after those poor little critically endangered red snapper like that.

Lol j/k

Snappers are the second easiest fish to catch behind triple tail. But they're fun and I enjoy pulling them from the bottom.

Next time you are out don't use a rig hook go up current of the rig and fish for snapper there. If current or wind is pushing hard, get just to the side and make a drift that way everyone can fish.
