LSU's Keys to Success for this weekend

1) Find a way to hit Nolan Belcher (BA against him is .218). Someone asked me who is the best pitcher in the SEC right now and the answer is Nolan Belcher. Aaron Nola is right behind him. Tonight's matchup should be one of the best in the SEC all season.
2) Mason Katz needs to be Mason Katz again. He has established himself as the team's power guy, now he needs to prove it. He is in the worse slump of the season but the last time he went into a slump like this he bounced out of it hitting HR's in five consecutive games.
3) 2B needs to be fixed. The issue is there and we need to adjust. Jacoby Jones is our 2B. Fixed. Moving on.
4) South Carolina has a better bullpen so we need to get on the starters early and start wasting pitchers on Friday night. Don't allow them to use Belcher for 9 innings and Montgomery for 9 more on Saturday. We need to get on them like UF did a few weeks ago.
5) Don't give up the Home Runs. Arkansas snuck out a win because of a HR. Alabama almost stole a win for the same thing. South Carolina is the best Home Run hitting team we will face this season and I hope Eades can keep them from the bleachers.
6) CPM needs to allow Laird to be Laird and swing the bat. If he can bunt for a hit, so be it. But stop sacrificing the kid and not allowing him to get comfy in the box. Especially this weekend with all 3 starters from USCe being Lefty's.

You guys honestly don't have as good a bullpen as us? I mean all we have is Westy & Webb once you get past those 2 the rest are god awful.
Although it may be the only 2 that come out depending on how the starters do this weekend. :crossesfingers:

Why's that funny? He's pretty damn good.

My keys to winning:
1) Score more runs than the other team.

If Eades is on come Saturday, we sweep. Mark it down bro.

I disagree. Laird needs to continue bunting because those are productive outs. Sometimes he'll beat it out, but at the very least he has to get runners in scoring postion for Bregs and Katz. Facing 3 lefties tells me that Laird is not going to get a lot of hits this weekend, so he needs to do more than just stand there and swing. I'd like to see him take more pitches and work the pitchers. He should almost never swing at a first pitch strike with nobody on base. If he's not in a RBI situation, he needs to be working the count and perhaps draw a walk.

But he needs to be able to hit the ball sometimes is my point. I still want him bunting, just not all the damn time
