that was a given, everyone knows the Hornets would match any offer, they were just hoping no one would be dumb enough to give him a max contract

Hornets should just let him walk. EG is good but that is a lot of money and the Hornets future is looking bright without EG on the roster. Plus, it gives Rivers a better chance to develop.

They wont, he is only 24 I think, as far as the money, cap space isn't an issue.
