This go around, LSU is in Death Valley South. If you thought 100,000 people in Bryant Denny was loud, you should hear 50,000 plus LSU fans in the Superdome.

Loudest game I've ever been to was in the Dome, and it wasn't even close.

40,000+ LSU fans inside sound like 100k outside.

Won't the Alabama fans be just as loud or close to it?

No, it's a different sound with pompoms.

Will LSU hand out pompoms for this game? I've been to some bowl games where there were pompoms waiting in the seats for everyone. I think they did in either 2003 or 2007, don't remember which.

At the LSU/Oklahoma BCSNC game in January, 2004 I could not hear the person shouting to me who was sitting next to me. I could see her lips moving but the sound was completely drowned out.

They had them in the ATL for the SECCG this year.

OK, fine. It's the houndstooth. It disrupts the sound waves or something.

So lets say 40k attendees are LSU fans. According to an espn poll earlier this week, roughly 60% of the voters in the country wants LSU to win (49 states pull for LSU). Add in the locality incentive and the crowd should lean heavily toward LSU.

Im thinking somewhere between 60-40 and 70-30.

In 2007 at the NC game they had yellow and red towels out on the seats before the game.
