Having issues with TD when at home

I've been a member for a little bit, and have been accessing TD with no problems at all. A few days ago, me and my roommate started noticing internet dropoffs here and there. We couldn't get to any page. Called our cable provider, checked the modem and router, and switched out cables. Nothing worked, until we discovered that it was only when we were logged on to TD that this happened.
We have 4 computers in the house: each of us with a desktop and laptop. He never comes to this site, but when he would log onto it with his deskptop (PC) to test it out, we would lose internet again. He has a macbook, which has an ad blocker installed (firefox), and when he went to TD, nothing happened. OK. Problems with the ads. I installed the ad blocker on my macbook pro, and for a bit, it worked fine. But after about 10 minutes of browsing, the network went down again.
It's frustrating because up until a few days ago, everything worked fine. No problems. Did something get changed on the site that might cause this? I heard a rumor that TD was hit with a virus, but haven't seen anything on here about it. Hoping some of you might have had this issue and might know how I can remedy it.

No link. My roomy has a friend who apparently looked into it. He heard something about it, but nothing substantiated. I figured I would ask to see if there was any truth to it.

I have a hard time believing that this site is causing your network issues at home.
No one else has brought up this issue...

I would think so to, but I swear, it only ever happens when I go to this site. One heck of a coincidence
This was from a chat with my friend:

I'm not being redirected, so I don't think so.

what is a p2p forum?
what browser are you using? have you cleared your cache and internet history recently? when you ran malwarebytes, was it up to date before you ran it?

do you have a smartphone like an iphone?

I have a Galaxy S, so I can check it on there no problem. I'm trying to get some info from my roommate, since he was doing all the troubleshooting for this. Will get back to you soon.

I would like to know if there are certain threads causing the issue for you? which forums do you frequent on this site?
Also, what exactly happens to your router?

I'll find out about the rest of this, but I'm sort of all over the place. My main board is the GB. I'm on the Saints now because of free agency and all. But the GB is where I spend most of my time.

And just curious: why is this thread anchored?

what exactly happens to your router?
when it bogs down, have you tried your phone on TD?
it is particular threads causing this?
when it happens again, please note what page you were on...maybe email me a screen shot...thanks

Alright. I'll have some answers soon. Maybe tonight.
I never have an issue with it on my phone. It's what I usually use when the internet stops. And I don't think it's a particular forum, but I'll find out.

Oh sorry. Firefox. Just installed an ad blocker, hoping that would work.
