Yeah the Pac-12 ended up geting lucky with the timing of this whole thing. It sounds like Fox wanted a stronger college football presence, and Comcast/NBC wanted to raise Versus' profile, basically creating a biding war with ESPN in there as well.

Also, a Pac-12 network is probably going to be created

Good for them. More sports on tv = win in my book.

Now if only the NCAA would address the issue of very little college baseball on television...

They're doing a little better this year but still alot to be desired. I doubt we'll ever get as much as we want since, lets face it...it isn't a popular sport nationwide. If nothing else, putting it on ESPN3 more would be great.

For a major portion of Saturday, there was college baseball on Espn2, CST, and Fox Sports South all at the same time. CST and Fox Sports had back to back games too.

Was very nice to see that

When is the Versus/NBC thing supposed to go final?(As in showcase appearance and publicly acknowledging it?)

I like that Fox is getting involved in NCAA football.

More football on TV = Better

Also hints as to why ESPN was willing to pay so much to Texas.

Not sure when they're changing the name and everything, but they've already had some NBC programing. They only have Mountain West rights now so I'm not sure what their plan is in terms of live football

Big deal for the PAC 12. Primetime games on Fox and such is great, I love having the late PAC games on Saturdays.

Yeah, they had some Notre Dame Football games on a few months back.

I'm really excited for this though. More College football games on Versus = More college football coverage, and that means I don't have to use that time on ESPN.

Left to my own devices, I could hang out watching from GameDay to the Jefferson-Pilot time slot all the way through to early Sunday morning with the last West coast game.

Love me some CFB. This looks like a good deal for everybody else who loves it too.

This! Although I’m a little worried they’re hinting at the formation of a Pac-12 Network, and I’m completely against these conference networks.

They are for sure, and unlike the Big 10, the Pac-12 will own 100% of it so that we can collect 100% of the revenue. That's from what I understand. There's quite a few articles out about it now.

This is great for the PAC 10, they had a horrible TV deal for a long time, the Mountain West had a better deal than the PAC had.More money coming in is also good will keep the small schools like OSU, WAZZU competitive.

PS like the new AV

Take a nap, say hi to the other folks in the household then get ready to watch the NFL from 10am to 11pm ish.

That's a very good thing.
