Nahhhhhhh. I like my ears too

I've sighted in my boss's 7mag w/BOSS system a few times and the recoil was very manageable, but the muzzle blast was horrendous. All that shite just isn't necessary for what I do.

I love my little 6.5x55 swede. Super easy on the shoulder and kills em deader than shite if I do my part. I am not a fan of getting the shite knocked out of me or getting my ears split open when I drop the hammer on one. If I was an elk hunter my opinion would be different.

I do too, but I don't think I can hit anything past 300 yards no matter what I'm shooting, and I can put one down at that range with my 6.5 swede. I can't take advantage of the extra reach of those big magnesiums.

Ear plugs for practice and that's all you need. if you're not wearing them for practicing then youre foolish IMO. You're hearing will be significantly lost when you get older if you don't.

I wear em practicing, but I'm not going to deer hunt with them and I just can't imagine lighting one of those things off under the tin roof of a box stand.

The extra punishment just isn't worth it to me. I'll probably never be a magnum fan unless I start hunting some bigger stuff

I never used to wear ear protection of any kind. Now that I'm approaching 30 I think it's better that I try to preserve what little bit of hearing I have left. I already have a hard time hearing if someone isn't talking directly to me. Getting old sucks.

I wont deer hunt with them either. I've shot out of many diff stands but I've always had the barrel sticking way out. Never been a problem. this is my 300 with the muzzle brake. Love shooting it.

I'll be 31 next month and still have great hearing. My dad taught me to wear them at a very young age so it was just second nature.

I'm paying for it, trust me. I need to go snag me some more ear plugs. I only have two pairs of ear muffs and the kids get those when they go shooting with me.

Get some ear plugs or somn. That's what I wear. I don't even have any ear muffs.
