I found a BIG cast iron Dutch oven about 25 years ago that had been partially buried on a job we were doing around Athens. It'll hold nearly 2 gallons of peanut oil with room to spare. It was in BAD shape when I found it but the inside of it looked like the inside of a brake drum...coated with rust but obviously an almost mirrored finish. I polished that thing up and you could almost see yourself like a mirror on the inside. It is by far the best fish cooker I have ever seen. Once it gets up to temperature you can cut the heat down to almost nothing and it will maintain heat no matter what and how much you put in it. Cooking fish is the only thing I have ever used for but I would bet it woould make bread as good as anything ever made.

A proper camping skillet is one you bought for 10 bucks 20 years ago and you have to soak it in vinegar to remove the rust every year because you left it hanging outside the camp

Dude, why are you apologizing? Are you feeling guilty?

If you want to be pretentious, just be pretentious. You don't have to apologize for it or make excuses for it.
