It's also presumptuous for him to assume someone would only buy that in order to kill a cop. No?
And I'm in the same boat as Infidel on his original post. And I've got all kinds of law enforcement in multiple states in my family as well as more than a few good friends. Not one of them would say what he did there and one of them is a chief training officer for a very large city police force.
Sorry, but if you approach the public with that kind of attitude, you're more likely to receive it in return. Then someone has to clean up the mess YOU created.

I'm with you guys. I think he gets the point.

Can someone tell me where to buy this damn holster, I don't care about all this LEO talk.

Two different points, but I get what you mean.
I'm just trying to slow the roll on the whole 'harassment' argument as well as judging an officer based on an opinion or comment. I don't agree with a lot of things I see everyday but I don't make the laws, I just enforce them.
eta- I'll try to find this for anyone interested. Gimme a minute.

The times I've unloaded the pistol were at roadblocks where I had to wait way back in a line. I drop the mag, open the action, place it all the way across the vehicle on the dash where I can't easily get to it. Like I said, if he was looking at me, I wouldn't touch it. I've done it both ways.
You didn't answer the question about if you believe there's such thing as cop killer bullets or not. Was the fact someone would call a bullet that stupid or was it stupid that I asked you whether they exist because you take it as a given?

And I was pointing out the perception that you could be an over zealous LEO whose authority had gone to their head.

I believe they are pretty common. A few google searches should turn one up, dunno.

Just messing with ya. I have crossed paths with a few campus cops that were pretty pathetic. Although I have a had a lot more run ins with guys I work with that are full time SACs.

I know I'm just a lurker here, but your supposed knowledge is pissing me off.
If you have a concealed carry permit in the state of FL, that rig is 100% legal. If you look just under the section you quoted, FL law 790.01(3) states " This section does not apply to a person licensed to carry a concealed weapon or a concealed firearm pursuant to the provisions of s. 790.06."
Also, "attaching" a weapon to a vehicle is not illegal. Do you pull over every truck with a gun rack in the back window? (On second thought, probably so....profile much?)
Once a person enters their vehicle, even if the gun is sitting on the dash, it is considered concealed, and as long as they have a FL (or reciprocating state's) permit, there is nothing illegal about it.
Go back to your evidence closet, and finish your doughnut, I'm going back to lurking.
