World record gator, Humminbird Depth Finders, plastic fish baits, made in S. Alabama

in Eufaula. I knew that all Humminbirds produced there, and
apparently another company there makes all the baits for Zoon, Bass Pro, Strike King, Strike Zone, etc.
So says my fishing buddy from Dothan, he took a tour of both plants recently, they are next door to each other.

Eufaula has some absurdly large gators.

I was surprised how big some of the gators I saw at Eufaula when I fished there. Most of them were up some of the creeks we took our boat into off the main lake.

I shot a couple good bucks about 30 min north of Dothan in January. Probably caught 300 bass, most on Zoom plastics, this summer there too.

That area is a fishing/hunting haven for many, lots of Floridians, I mean lots, come up and lease land, make elaborate camps. Crappie fishing has really taken off there.

Tom Mann started his Mann’s bait company there as well.
Strike King used to be made here in Collierville, TN and there is still an office here (I think at least).

Worked at American Buildings Company right across the street from Mann’s. Been down to Humminbird a few times. We actually did their R&D building. Recently moved to Indiana to another Nucor facility.
I want to say Bass Masters were there earlier this year for a tournament. Pretty cool to watch on tv and know all the spots they were at.
ETA: originally from Dothan as well.
