These last 2 beautiful mornings have got me the fever. Didnt help I went to pick up some more chickens yesterday, and the lady had turkeys too. Opened door and immediately heaed hens chirping, and then the gobbler hammer. Really nothing like spring in the woods and hearing that gobbler fire off. Only a month away boys

Can’t wait, last Sunday of deer season I moved all my cams to fire breaks and open fields where we’ve traditionally had birds. Numbers have been a little bit higher than usual where we’re at and we left several gobbling last year.

Hell yea. Im going next weekend to set cameras for birds, top seed some clover, and toss a little scratch out. I had 5 gobblers on camera during deer season. Hoping some stick around

We have a youth weekend up here April 8-9, gotta get the older boy excited about it. After that I hope to get out a few times in the 6 weekend season. I always hear them gobbling at me on my runs before work during the season, one of those frustrating things when I can't find them on a hunt.

When is the earliest for them to start gobbling? Late Feb? First week of March? I’ve gone on hunts in west Texas but this will be my first year trying to hunt them on my lease in SW Miss and it’s a new lease to me.

Buddy of mine told me they were gobbling already at his place east of Clinton.
I top seeded some clover today on several of my foodplots. I had a leftover bag of fall mix that I spread real heavy in front of a camera I leave out year around.

I’ve got them coming through a few spots with regularity. Got a trip to texas for Mardi Gras and then I’m going to be scouting when I can. In April I got my annual West Texas trip to hunt Rios. But I’ve only been hunting them for a few years. Excited to get after some Easterns.

Hurt my back in September. No bow hunting. Had back surgery in November and then knee in December. Deer season sucked.
