ETA: I've known SEVERAL people complain about SBE II's inability to cycle 2-3/4" shells
What???
I have the SBE II and as long as you use 1 1/8 oz shot it will cycle just fine. The Browning, Beretta, and Benelli are all the same this respect.

Negative:
A400 Xplor Unico revolutionizes the world of semiautomatic shotguns, offering the possibility of shooting all loads, from 7/8 to 2 ¼ ounces, with the same performance typical of a perfected and specialized 3” shotgun.
Light weight (3 kg), reduced dimensions, super compact receiver, optimal balance and fast shouldering are available from today for every type of hunting using a single shotgun: A400 Xplor Unico.

Out of the two... SBE.
If I wcould add another option... Beratta Vinci. By far the sweetest shotgun out there. Super light weight. Breaks down in less than ten seconds too. Takes about 20-30 to reassemble it. Beretta is actually doing a contest, anybody who sends them a video assembling a Vinci in less than 15 they will send them a butt load of stuff.

Starting to lean towards the Maxus after some more reading online. I think both are very comparable, but the maxus is around $300 cheaper which I can use towards the new rifle and scope I want to get in a couple months.

I know it's not one of your choices but I have had an Xtrema II for a couple years now and I love it. I've never had any issues with it and I know several people that own the same gun and hunt alot and I have never heard a complaint about it. Either of those guns should still be a good choice depending on what you want.
