I used too. And some times I still do if I am hunting and I need something and I forget I am packing. Never had a problem.

Unbelievable. What part of SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED do you fail to understand.

There is nothing INFRINGING on your rights to have people simply conceal their weapons.

So by your logic, requiring folks to get a concealed carry permit (which is not available to get in some areas of this country), in order to carry, is not a infringement of our of constitutionally protected right?

By you logic, requiring folks to have a lic and require them to carry concealed is indeed limiting their freedom as well as their 2A right.

Limiting folks on the way they carry a firearms is a very basic INFRINGEMENT of the 2A.

Incrementalism should be your middle name.

I believe the best part of your post is that you state no one is infringing on ones rights yet at the same time telling them they have to conceal carry or not at all.

most open carry goes unnoticed. Practice, carry, repeat
I could care less if open or CC carry. Funny to see fighting and arguing amongst gun owners.

The sad part is we lose our rights when gun owners allow our rights to be stripped little by little till none remain.

Exactly.. There is walking around with a firearm on your hip, then there is walking around like a dumbass, trying to show off the fact that you have a gun on your hip and trying to get attention.

I am not against others open carrying, but I don't think it's smart. I think that plenty of people who do so ARE looking for attention... Just check YouTube. However, I'll never understand how open carry could make a knowledgeable "gun guy" nervous. Seriously, the guy open carrying a holstered firearm is probably the last guy you need to worry about.

Bottom line... I won't do it, but I sure as hell don't want the government telling us we can't.

Exactly.

I am more concerned about the guy in the rice rocket driving like he is Paul Walker or the lady applying makeup during her morning drive to work. Most folks that I have noticed OC'ing didn't bother me at all.

This is a sad and tired argument.

Times have changed, and this is not the wild west.
People have a right to be concerned about people walking around with Ak's around their necks. I carry every day, but don't feel the need to show off. And certainly don't feel any less secure or infringed on because I carry concealed.

An argument can be made that everyone should be able to carry in any way they want...Hell I can make that argument, but in an intelligent society we could use some common sense.

Further more these idiots on utube open carry because they can will do more to limit our future rights than anything else in the gun world. Bank on it.

In step with the current liberal push.

Shall not be infringed, period.

So shall we ban Youtube as its can cause great damage to society?

We ban things all the time, in our society, that we think may bring harm. ie. drugs

If you were a sheriff or mayor or politician, believing in gun rights, but had to take up time in your day dealing with calls from the public about every show off carrying a weapon around town...then you would probably want to promote cc.

That is not that hard to comprehend...

We can keep our guns without waving them in front of peoples faces.

In fact the very people waving them will be the reason MORE legislation will be passed to limit open carry.
