I just don't think decoys are that important as far as details. My newest decoy is probably 6 years old and my oldest is probably 30. Most have small amounts of paint on them and look like crap. However we kill the crap out of ducks over them.
I think decoys are a numbers and position game. Put out the right number and in the proper place and you kill ducks.
No way I would spend $$ for Dakota or the like they just aren't necessary. I still prefer G&H and then Avery. Other ones would be fine too but for 1,000 I could have a duck spread and full goose spread without problem.

Buy the $40 flambeaus teal and mallards and be done with it. Buy a dozen or two pintails if you see those too
