Probably because anytime something like this current run on guns happens they jack up prices like 300%.

Bought a 6.5 Grendel upper last week for $250 from Bear Creek.
Waiting for it to come in then will figure out the lower.

Also picked up a glock g48 last week.

I was in Bass Pro (Memphis, not the Pyramid location) today, and all they had was one Anderson lower receiver. It was only $50, so I bought it. I have a buddy who builds them a good bit and he had told me to stay away from Anderson lowers, but he is hardcore into building and selling to a gun shop. Anyone have pros/cons they can tell me about building on an Anderson lower? It would be my first build and first AR

What you got Is what the kids call a poverty pony and there isn’t a damn thing wrong with it. A mil spec lower is a mil spec lower. With the exception of a couple brands you could remove the brand labels and your buddy wouldn’t be able to tell you what was what. My last 5.56 build was on an Anderson and it’s just as good a gun as my Mega and Aero AR-10
