I honestly have no idea. I don’t know anyone in my area that uses custom harvesting.
When we have helped neighbors out in the past we just charged for fuel and wrap. I know several guys who have done that. Usually involves a weather related event or an equipment break down problem.
Not cotton related but our problem now is a storage problem on grain. We had an incredible corn yield this year and everyone is maxed out on their grain storage and the mills are full so everyone is running out of space for soybeans.
You can never have enough grain storage.

I saw some pictures where the landing gear peeled the hull off the top of the baler.
This made me think of those times when I shared provocative photos of my girlfriend.

Jesus, what a couple of dumb asses.
I have several friends who literally ask me if I want to mix a drink and go fly around.
I know one guy who bought a small Cessna and has no pilots license and taught himself to fly using online videos. He gets hammered and flies around and uses his long driveway as a runway

The Ms delta is a very different place

When I was a kid my dad's best friend was a crop duster in North Georgia...dude was INSANE. He would spray us as kids 'cause he thought it was funny. I suspect it was actually....there was a swimming hole about a mile across a cotton field from the area we live in but about 5 miles by road so, kids being kids, we would walk across the field...imagine chasing 4-10 kids across a cotton field in a plane...I am sure it was comical as hell from his POV LOL.
This dude basically put on a air show several times a week in our area...just the straight spraying is amazing to watch but he would do loops and barrel rolls and all manner of shite...he loved it. Did most of it while he was drunk as a bicycle (that's north Georgian for extremely intoxicated). He finally met his creator when he flew under a power line crossing Lake Alatoona north of Atlanta and flew into the I-75 bridge that was about 200 yards from the power line.

Thank God cause that means catfish feed prices will be going down. Been a tough year for us

I have always wondered if this was possible. The FAA is so strict on a class 3 medical, like if you have sleep apnea you would have to spend tons of money and jump through hoops to possible get them to approve it. Even though you're on a machine and being treated. Whats stopping someone from getting flying lessons and getting a plane and just staying on small airports just flying for fun?

Nothing I suppose, just don’t wreck or get caught. You can actually fly those ultralight planes without a license anyways

Oh yeah. Whatever he was putting on the cotton and soybeans he was putting on us LOL. This was in the early 70s too so there ain't no telling what that shite was and what health problems it caused. Having it dumped directly on you wasn't much different than being in house when it was being dumped....even for those who had AC the house would reek of the stuff.
This was an era where a child could be attacked by a dog and nearly eaten alive and the child's parent would whip the child's arse because he knew that dog was mean and should not have ridden their bicycle anywhere near it. Also an era where kids would be gone from 730 AM in the morning until 8 or 9 PM at night and their parents would not only not know where they were or what they were doing but did not care where they were or what they were doing. Also an era where kids would play organized baseball and football and their parents may not even know they were doing so, and certainly did not attend practices and games. It was different era.

A little malathion or DDT never hurt anybody. It would even cure the crabs.

Good for the sinuses. Seriously, we lived in the middle of the cotton patch, there was no way not to be sprayed. I imagine folks won't tolerate it today, probably even illegal, but in 1972??? Forget about it...no one thought twice about it. To be honest when we would run away it was merely to run away, it wasn't a fear of being sprayed with chemicals. It could have been water and wed have ran away...it was fun being chased by an airplane that looked like it was 10 feet high. We were dumbass kids, what did we know???
