Been shooting remington core-lokt 130 gr. in my 700 since '04 when I got it. Want to know why? Come look in my freezer

I am curious as to how many rounds a year you guys put through your rifle.

I suspect most deer rifles still in active use fire no more than 10 rounds a year.

Sort of hard to compare rounds with such little experience.

Shoot em in the neck and the bullet doesn't matter much.

Most people see a whole lot more dead deer than just the ones they shoot. I'd say it's pretty easy to compare.

Well I don't see enough dead deer shot with 270s to make a statement about the quality of one round over another. Glad you guys can.

I can't even tell what round I own now.

I will tell you I have never shot from a stand and missed a standing deer with whatever round I had and I have never had to shoot a deer twice. I am perhaps very selective in taking shots compared to the average deer hunter in Louisiana. I don't take low percentage shots.

Literally dont remember ever having to trail one.

That's what like to hear. Im not much of a gun/ammo junky. Just need my equip to do its job. Want the cartridge that does the most damage on the inside while leaving a hefty exit wound
