Is that what NRA dues pay for?
And it's exactly why we can expect heavy gun control push in the coming years particularly if/when the Democrats take control. Gun Control advocates sense turmoil in the NRA and if Republicans think the NRA is weak, we better hope Trump gets enough judges confirmed. We're going to need them.

Yea you can add his name to all the other sack of shot politicians regardless of the side of the aisle. He is no different, bust out the rope and start giving the oak limbs a workout.

Why would a a permit be needed when ar15s are rarely used in crime especially compared to handguns? What would a permit do that would alleviate anything? A permit for the sake of a permit is useless and I sure don't want to have to keep paying the government for the right to own one.
And regardless of the majority of murders committed with handguns, any level of registration does not change someone's murderous intent. The dude that murdered those people in New Zealand had a registered firearm and it made absolutely no difference to the people he murdered.
All the registration does is make it harder for good people to get a means to defend themselves. If a murderer has a bloodthirst, he/she will just do whatever they need to get the weapon and still get the weapon in the end. How is this hard for anti-gunners to understand? Mass murderers may be crazy but they're not stupid. Why would someone blow his cover before he gets the tool?

And that's exactly why London now has a higher murder rate than NYC. London has a practical outright ban on guns, cameras everywhere and are trying to ban points in knives. Attacking an object never solves a problem.

Been doing a lot of reading on other forums and it sure doesn't look good. Lots of folks talking about the NRA losing its not for profit status and having to pay millions in back taxes.
I don't know what to think but this is not good. Even if nothing illegal has happened, the publicity hit for NRA is going to be terrible. A lot of members are unhappy finding out about these expenses.

I was a faithful member for years, and their firearm insurance WAS first rate.

They used to be the best, but LaPierre ruined them.
