re: What was the 1st day of the OB?

I wasn't around when it happened. I actually started losing interest in the site as a daily go to. Once I saw the creation of the ob it was like a rekindled romance. Good work fellas

So the first day appears to be 7/28

Not to pat myself on the back too much, but I know I have been pushing for the OB for over 5 years. In fact, I've gotten several PM from Admins over the years telling me to shut up about it and even one threatened banning. All of you newcomers don't remember the days of the persecution of those pushing for this board. They were afraid that it would attract too many rednecks, coonasses, etc. In fact there was serious discussion of posting a lot of pics of dead animals would turn off a lot of posters and advertisers or it would simple become a gun trading site.

I remember at least one day when we bombarded the OT with outdoor related posts (I think that was the day I was threatened with being banned). I think finally, enough people got to Chicken that this board was created and I think they have to be VERY happy with the traffic it has generated. And, we seem to be a much more stable group than the Rant, Political Board or the OT. I bet they rarely get an RA from this board.

Anyway, when the board was created I never got a PM. I was away for a few days and when I signed back on I saw it was there.
