What type of hinges

Built a jewelry box that I want to attach to a mirror. Want the mirror to rest on top of the box and open out. Box is thin so need hinges on the side inside wall of box and back of mirror. This post was edited on 2/26/19 at 7:44 pm

There are so many different types. Inset, overlay, surface mount, mortise, no mortise. I should also add that the mirror is fairly heavy. Do I need a certain number of hinges? Any particular size?
