I’ve got a Topper Jr model .410 (crackdown). I got it for Christmas 55 years ago. Loved it then, and still. Had many shells go through it, never had a problem. I have no idea if they still make them, but if they do I’d recommend it.

what do you do with a single shot 410? I have one - it's my least favorite gun

A Harrington & Richardson Topper Model 158 – .410ga would be a great option if they still make them. My grandfather bought my oldest brother one when he was 12.

My middle brother and I got the 20 gauge model.

Gunbroker has some listed:

Need my email?

Some of y’all have posted some nice models, thanks. That Winchester 37 is right on point as to what I’m looking for. Guess it’s something about the older ones. Looking like I’ll have to take it to gun broker. I don’t care for the models say Academy is selling.

Also when my son isn’t using it I will be dispatching things around the house with it myself. So I want to get one I care for too lol. A yes, I already have a 870 youth 20ga.

Pretty neat little gun. First gun I bought for my son with Cabelas points, 8-9 years ago. He shot his first dogris on the water with it at age 7-8. Don't use it much now, but will never get rid of it. He grew from it, to my .410 pump (shot my first rabbit with at 7-8yo), to a 20g SX3 this past season. Man, time flies.

I would but it was a gift from from grandfather about 30 years ago. It was my first hunting shotgun when I was about 10 - I think my father still has it.

Find an old Stevens Model 94. I have one of these in a 20 gauge I got for my birthday in 1972.
