Red maples are great especially if the soil stays moist. I planted two at the same time- one on a hill and one in a lower spot that hold water a little longer. The wetter one is 20”+ now while the other is 12” at best.

I’d love to know the secret to getting the Japanese magnolias to grow. Mine just isn’t growing like it should. I keep cutting the sprouts and low branches but it still doesn’t seem to be getting taller.

plant redbuds. they grow easily and fairly quickly and you'll have nice flowering trees this time of year

I've been wanting to plant some Drake elms for the past couple years, and think ill finally pick up 3 or 4 of them to plant in the yard. Fast growing but do not get too big. They have them in a lot of parking lots and along roads around here. They look good too.
