gloomis then falcon
I'd throw in St. Croix between those two.

Has anyone here used the Shimano Compre? I've heard some good reviews on this rod.

The one in my hand
I do love the Falcon Coastals. I have a 7.6 H2O Express from academy that I love, and for the price it makes me love it even more.
The compre is good as well, I use to have a couple. I have a clarus right now and I like that rod as well.

I love st croix, Falcons are nice too. G loomis at 300-400 a pop too nice for my blood. I can get three of the others for same price as one and I break rods every year. Somtimes Fish break them

I have a 7'6 MH Falcon witha medium taper and a Lew's speedreel that i love.
For spinning i have a 7'6 Fenwick medium light with a shimano baitrunner.
Both are versatile enough for me to use in all situations.
