Can we make it a 3way?

As for my situation: It's complicated

2.5k acres near Blackhawk, LA. It is my paradise. I have an open invite, but I don't abuse it. I hunt there 1-3 times a year and bow only, January. I see a lot of deer. I shoot rarely.

2k acres Kingsville, TX - fenced. I go when I get the call to be at Hammond airport in the morning with my rifle.

Public land is where I make my living right now....and I fricking hate everything about it.

One brother and I bought a small house with 35 acres and we lease 600 more. Have 10 boxes and 12 ladders but I like to climb. Also have about 200 acres with another brother divided into 3 parcels. This is new cutover and it's our first year on these. All this is around south central alabama. Prenty much good for a good supply of meat and the occasional 120-135 inch. I killed 14 last year and could have killed a lot more. Won't need as many this year cause still have meat from last year. My kids raid my freezer but not as much last year.

A couple thousand acres in the deep swamp with about 100 stands. Low deer #s and not many monsters but it suits me just fine. 20 mins from the house and I don't have to drive through BR to get to it. Perfect since I have 2 babies

I am very blessed. We are able to live and hunt on the same land in SW Mississippi . We have 90 acres with our house in the middle of it. We have 9 plots with 3 nice boxes and the rest have 2 man ladders. We kill a couple of does a year and don't shoot little bucks unless its one of our kids hunting . It's awesome being able to put stands where you choose and not having them hunted by other hunters. It's also nice that I can walk out the back door and be in a stand very shortly.I'm in a box with my 10 yr old now and my wife just texted that there are 4 deer behind the house at the pond.....life is good

I hunt public land. I have a spot to hunt by the house but decided I'm not hunting there anymore because I have never killed a deer off it. I'm going 100% public this year. I do way better on public land. The key is to get away from the other "hunters". My spot is 2.8 miles from the road, I only shoot 8pt or better there. I have a couple spots along the way to the end of my trail that I shoot smaller deer at because I don't have to drag them as far.

I am in an 8000+ acre hunting club 10 minutes from house with 3 box stands on it.

We have a family lease in Jackson parish, 1hr drive, that is close to 500aces with 7 box stands on it.

Both places have wall hangers on them but I haven't killed one in 3 years big enough. I have seen one each year just didn't get a shot. I have killed at least a rack buck for about 6 or 7 years in a row now. I let any thing under a 6pt walk.

Haven't deer hunted much since the ranch was sold. Invites from buddies a couple times a year for the most part. However I have a buddy that hunts public in the basin and does pretty good so I am going to hunt with him this year. Have wanted to check out Indian Bayou for years and after doing it today I am kicking myself big time for waiting until three months before I move to do it. Will diff be hunting it this year for deer and duck.

yes I have...I have the duty this weekend but will be going to do some scouting there next weekend...my neighbor goes in there from the south...puts in at Whiskey Bay and goes up Cross Bayou or East Fork BDG from the interstate...he gets a nice deer in there every year...I usually go in from the I-10 and hunt up off Happy Town area...

We were going to hunt Sherb this weekend but we couldnt put the boat in anywhere, this low water sucks. Ended up just scouting a couple areas pretty well. Will be hunting them when the water get a little better.

Did come upon a corn pile and a camera, ppl who do that and use flagging are idiots.

the launch on Landing Rd. off Bayou Manual road is open...you can put in at Whiskey Bay and go in from the south...If you're talking about the Indian Bayou area (Butte Larose / I-10 landing) north of I-10 the water is coming up now since they closed the flood gates...should be opening up the landing this week I'm thinking...

My lil bros friend has a surface drive but doesnt live in the area but he is going to come in town and we are going to check it out soon. If you ever need a buddy to go with let me know. Have dog and gear just no boat. I live in Laff.
