frick paying 300k for a boat, I'd buy a fleet of 300 kayaks.

Definitely better boats when you're willing to pay $300K. Contender, seavee, yellowfin, regulator, venture, the list goes on. If speed is what you're looking for go fountain. Can't say I like the verados though.
