What do I get for fleas in the yard and in the house

We seem to be battling a revolving door of fleas. TIA

For the first time ever our dogs have fleas on them. Once we realized it I've bathed them with head and shoulders shampoo which will kill the fleas. Also have put some of the flea drops on them.
I'm going to spray around the house with suspend and the yard with permethrin.
We will see how that does. May need to bomb the house.

Keep all pets on legit preventative every month no exceptions. Anything else and you're wasting your time. Yes, you should probably treat the environment but the pets are the key. Do not buy generic crap - doesn't work as well and more likely to cause drug reactions.

Don't waste your time with anything other than the Orkin man and a good, ingestible, monthly flea medication. The guy working at our local feed store convinced my wife that a collar was the way to go. We got fleas.

The newer preventatives Nexgard, Bravecto, and Simparica are the best I've seen. They're the go to preventatives for dogs with flea allergy when I need maximum protection.

I have young kids and wanted a quicker solution to avoid any flea bites to them.

What prefer works for you. There is definitely more than one way. I'll tell you this though, Within 30 minutes of dog ingesting med, you will be able to witness any fleas on dog dying.

fleas eat other dead fleas which is a reason why a lot of these over the counter flea bombs don't work long term. They don't get the fleas that are hiding under couches, beds, etc and then they start feeding on each other and reproducing again.

Comfortis was the one I meant. I've actually witnessed what you're saying, Couldn't believe it at the time- was amazed.
Wife's boxer now gets a shot that lasts several months- Bravecto.

I used talstar granules in my yard. And from recommendations from the site; I put Soresto collars on our two golden retrievers. We may find a straggler on the dogs every now and then, but the flea is very slow (probably dying)
