Has to be a bird for that type of wound. Odd that it would be going after such a large bass though. Can't say I've ever seen that.

Its called a cormorant its a fish eating bird that dives under and sometimes grabs bass ana sac a lait and causes that injury. Mystery solved

I know that W is happy that whatever caught it and left that mark released the bass, we wouldn't want it to kill off the population.

Reading 101 slap, the nutria, rabbits etc in my post were referring to what I've seen a bald eagle capture. Push away from desk, walk outside and head down there to see what that area has, it's about a diverse habitat we have in state.
