Not fishing, but water related, found a cannonball in lake ponchatrain the size of a bowling ball while diving.

A friend of mine (reliable source) caught a red snapper with a gold pieces of eight coin in its belly off of the mouth of the Mississippi River.

shite brother. That's a magic fish. You gotta get the coin out of his belly while keeping him alive and then throw him back. See what he brings you the next time you catch him.

Fish: Toadfish while jigging shrimp around pilings for sheepshead and drum.

Non Fish: beaver hit my top water once. Somehow he got unhooked. Didn't want to mess with an angry beaver

Sporting clay in Lake pontchartrain

Jigging offshore, I pulled up an eye that was a couple inches in diameter. No telling what that came off of

I've snagged a blow fish in the puffer when I was young in vermillion bay haha. It went to blow up and it sounded like a balloon releasing air.

Was fishing the Calcasieu River out of a canoe with a trolling motor on the front. I was throwing a jig, and I pitched it to a spot. Pick up, line is swimming off, set the hook and broke the line. Tie on identical jig and keep fishing. On the way back about 4 hours later, I get to the same spot and pitch in my jig. Line starts moving, set the hook and catch a nice two pound largemouth.

We got home and were cleaning the fish. When I fileted the largemouth, I noticed his belly was full. I cut it open, and there was my other jig! Sucker fell for it twice

While fishing Sam Rayburn I lost a red t shirt off the side of boat while fishing. I turned around to see if I could see it on the bottom. I looked down and there it was. Scooped it up, and it was an under armor red fitted shirt, not the one I had lost. Nice trade off IMO. Even though it says Team Ford, I still wear it.

So what your saying is...instead of removing the trash from the waterway, you threw it back.

I hooked a shoe with a rattletrap while night fishing @ False River several years ago. The funny part of the story is that is was a BASS brand shoe.

What are the odds . . .

I have caught clothes, shoes, rod & reels, frog fish, etc., but once I caught a nice spec and pulled him into the boat. He spit out a 6" spec that had gotten caught on my hook. Two fer.

I was fishing a pier once when this older women's wig blew off in the lake and was bobbing in the waves leaving, I made a fantastic cast and reeled it in.

She shook the water out of it and put it back on

Surf fishing in grand isle by the rocks... cast my double rig sparkle beetle and I notice it never came down. All of a sudden my line is screaming. I had hooked a pelican in the air and that bitch spooled me.. then when it popped.. it just landed in the water. If it wasn't so far I would've went to untangle it.

Years ago I was fishing run outs in the bayou pigeon area of the spillway and caught two pike type fish. They were probably chain pickerel but had a more orange/yellow color. I figure that they were gorging on crawfish in the muddy water and that influenced their color. Was a really strange catch for that area.
