Fished Grand Isle the weekend. For two days, we had only 52 trout, 6 reds and a couple flonder. Nothing outstanding. East winds were blowing very hard both days and the water was really screwed by Sunday.

Caught one good bass this morning at Old River. Cranking batt went dead (no idea why). Headed home to swap batters/figure out what's going on then maybe head to Lake Mary for an afternoon trip

Spring Bayou Saturday. Hit the spots that had been hot for the last 2 weeks. Caught three on my first milk run. Hmmm. Hit the next one. Nothing. Last one was better, but still sucked. Maybe kept 6 perch plus a bluegill, a chinq and a goggle. It's over. No more perch until next year.

Little bro picked this one up saturday in MS. Dad said it went 8lb6oz after two hours in an ice chest. I was ragging on him cause I got to go to golden meadow, and he stayed home.

Crappie is a bannable offense around here. Proper name is White perch.

Took the day off Friday and went down to coco with my brother. Started out rough with winds out the north at about 15mph. Beach was calm with a north wind - but was stacked with boats. Had 5 or so in the boat and the wind shifted from the east at about 5 mph. The bay laid down and we got on some trout around last island. Ended up with 34 trout and a huge red we released. Biggest trout was 3.5 lbs. not a bad trip considering the start we had.

Helluva bass. I would've guessed a pound or so bigger.

See my picture on page 2.
The river started falling again today, so the action should crank back up. May go out next Sunday and Monday.
My cranking battery also graveyard dead. Two trips in a row I had to hook all my wires to my trolling battery.

Didn't make it out this weekend, but went out to laffite earlier this week and smoked the reds sight casting.
