Yeah, the only time I've ever seen them killed is if someone has a kid that they want to get an easy shot and let them kill something...
I put them right there with shovelers. Always sitting on catfish ponds eating the shite at the bottom. I guess that's why we refer to them as trash ducks...

i love em too. I'd try the gizzards if someone else had them... But i dont mind shovelers. the dogris (scaup) eating the fish get nasty tasting. But everything by us is absolutely covered in grass so they dont need to dive for fish.

we rarely do as well. We use coot decoys also. They work awesome.

theres a lot of breast in it though! we kill coot if we feel like it that day. They're so easy to clean also.
