When they're biting like crazy I'll fish specifically for them. Usually find what they want by accident though. We caught 60 or so keepers in the spillway one morning this summer using brush hogs. Every other cast was either a 13" bass or a goggle eye

Never eaten one before. I am truly a catch and release guy. ( mostly cause the ponds I fish, the fish aren't good to eat because of run off from lawns: IE: golf courses, apartment ponds)

Nobody around here calls them warmouth

We call em goggle-eye

The bream that's shaped more like a bass and bites like a bass. Bigger mouth than other bream.
