I misjudged the level of incompetence found at Wal-Mart. I expected to walk in and buy a rifle. I found one I wanted and they couldn’t process the sale because of a broken signing pad. I asked to do it with paper and that’s not an option. I asked to reserve one, no. Can we transfer it to another local Wal Mart that can process it, no.
Asked if there was any plan to fix it. Nobody knows. I was told the best idea was to call daily and ask.

I had the same problem with the computer. Went back the next morning and the computer was working fine. They also had a clearance price on this.

Dothan had a few of the Weatherby’s on clearance for $349. I didn’t see any of the savages on clearance.

They have a lot of rollbacks going on. The Walmart here in Slidell has all their Weatherbys marked at $349. “*** just priced them last night, so whatever is marked is what the price is.” Thanks to Foodexit and his links, I was able to prove them wrong and convince the lady to scan the gun, just for shits and giggles. From what I can remember they have a .243 and a .270 left at the walmart on Northshore Blvd in Slidell, I bought the last .308. Process was pretty easy, I was out with 45 minutes. Would’ve been 30 had the manager not brought the wrong box out twice.

Hammond Walmart background check computer is up and running again. Picked up my Weatherby 270 out of layaway tonight. They allowed me to put it on layaway since the computer was down.
They did have a Weatherby 243 in the case as of 6:30 on Sunday (9/30). Wanted to give a heads up.

I just bought my son a camo Savage Axis .30-'06 with a crappy Bushnell 3-9 x 40 scope for $199 on clearance at the Gonzales Walmart. He is getting into deer hunting and I did not want to spend a lot for his first rifle. We replaced the scope with a Nikon 3-9 x 40 and had it bore-sighted. Haven't shot it yet though.

Yeah. I follow that site for the Walmart clearance TVs bit it is rarely correct.

There was a weatherby 243 in Alexandria last week for about 250 but I already have a 243.
