Walmart gun clearance

All of my local Walmart’s have the Weatherby Vanguard Selects marked down to $249. It’s usually priced around 500 at most places. It’s a lot of gun for the price.

From what I’ve read it’s a nationwide clearance. My Walmart has .243, 270, 30-06, and .308 calibers. They were selling fast though.

I would like to get 1 in a .243. I don't have a bolt gun in that caliber. I have a Browning Lever .243,but I don't much care for it.

What model and condition is your lever action? I have a Browning bolt action with synthetic stock, B.O.S.S. in .243. Maybe we can swap.

There was an actually helpful older white guy at my local walmart gun counter a few years ago. He directed me to their website and said they can order pretty much anything you want.
Like I said, he was helpful so I assumed he quit after getting frustrated only a year or so into his stint with the company.

I am not at home right now to check and make sure, but I am pretty sure that one is a model 81.
It's in decent shape, but I think I am going to hang on to it. I have 3 of those BLRs in different calibers.
I don't really care to shoot them, but they are great looking rifles.

Walmart where I live was already sold out of the synthetic stock ones, but they had 3 of the wooden stock ones for $349. .308 , .270 ,30-06.

It would be nice if there were actually people manning the sporting goods counter so that you could, you know, actually talk to someone and find out what's in stock.
