What are the OB's experiences with these shrimp baits? Anyone seen a marked difference between these? Which colors have you had the best results with?

It seems quality goes down when they get "big" and margins, profits, etc come to play. They work very well and Ive had great success with all of them. Ive also had great success with $0.10 Sparkle Beetle.
IMO they are great to pickup on sale which Academy does often.
Biggest negative is that they cant be mixed with other plastic baits. I have a plano just for these.
Eta: For color, I made a joke and gave my wife some pink ones with chart tail. She has outfished me when I use any other color. New Penny is probably the most lifelike.

I think the Vudu has the best action of them all and they do hold up pretty well.

I have only used VuDu and had success with them. Just wondering if the size or color I wanted wasn't available would I be able to substitute a different brand and have similar success.
I appreciate the info.

Take a look at Marker 54 baits. He is on a Texas forum I frequent and his shrimp lures look awesome and are pretty popular.

I like Vudu Shrimp. I use natural color and I usually catch more than others in the boat.

I took a look. Not impressed with the visual aspect of these baits. They look like TKO or DOA shrimp. Also I couldn't zoom in on the picture to see some specifics. I was wanting to see if these shrimp had the mesh in the tail like the others do. That mesh is awesome and allows you to catch large numbers of fish on a single bait.

Vudu mullet is the most lifelike artificial lure I've ever fished
Isn't vudu owned by egret baits though?

Egret makes VUDU. I leave one tied on with a popping cork and has been on the same rod for 2 years. They last forever.
Cant forget about the ol trusty DOA. I use them for Tripletail when I don't bring the real thing.

Look at the jerk shrimp and the hard plastic live shrimp. Those are the ones I was referring to. The jerk shrimp concept has done well with the backward swimming motion.

Makes sense.

I've caught more fish on the glow pink tail vudu than any other color. My wife bought me a big mixed box with that in there. I would have never picked that color. I've outfished the glow chart tail on numerous occasions and that's the glow I would have bought. At this point, it's probably a confidence thing.

Vudu is great, but the H20 Xpress stuff is legit and cheaper.
