Time for my GSPs next round of shots. Any vets that I should give a try? Haven't been here long enough to take him anywhere yet...

Dr. Breaux in Prairieville/Gonzales is who I've used for as long as I can remember. The guy is great and very reasonably priced. However, it's best to get there first thing in the morning because he does lots of emergency surgery type work and can get backed up in a hurry.

He's my 2nd string behind Dr Griffith. Both have been around forever.

Just to get a dog shots though it doesn't really matter. I'm sure some 20 year old girl is going to do it regardless of where you go.

Find somewhere in town that sells the 7n1 shot and do it yourself. Less than $20/dog and you're done. Now if they just need a check-up, that's fine, but shots are easy to do by yourself.

It should be less than 10. They're very cheap and easy to do.

AVS is the cheapest you'll find. Good service at a fair price. They use students to do most of the work so you may want to think about for major procedures, but I would definitely go there for routine shots.

I've been in MS so I'm not sure what he needs other than his rabies. Pretty sure I can't give him that? MS gives a few other yearly shots that you don't have to have in Louisiana.

I HIGHLY reccommend Dr. Butler (Village Animal Clinic). His first name escapes me right now. ?David maybe?

He is the best Vet I have ever had. Very inexpensive, never tries to over-sell/upsell you on anything, maybe the exact oppisite. Never a wait, never hard to get in. Always expalins everything to detail. Very small and personal.

I had to put my ole girl of 15 years down, he made it really easy. My 10 year old Schnauzer even boards there from time to time.

Phillip Cancilleri with Helouin Vet.

They've been around forever and have been the official veterinarians of the Baton Rouge Police Department's K9 Unit.

My dog loves him. Great people, won't screw with you.
