50lb bags of fish feed in TSC or feed store are $50-$80 a bag.
Anyone have any luck using cheaper dog or cat food in their automatic feeders?

Just buy catfish feed, not the overpriced trophy fish feed.

Not sure where you are located. Look up TopWater Feed mill in Wisner La. They make and sell floating catfish feed. Inquire if there are any dealers near your location.

Tractor supply usually carries the Nutrena brand too that is $24-26 a bag.

Cat food has higher protein than dog food.

Came here to say this.
Dog food is normally larger some feeders can’t throw it.
I buy some fish feed from a local feed store that is 32% protien for around $23 for 50lbs.
