Son rescued this nearly 5 year old mountain cur that is registered.

Was severely underweight when rescued but is in good shape now.

Has good demeanor with kids and other dogs - a little shy until he gets to know you.

Normally located in Many, LA area. Visit family in BR once a month or so.

Not neutered.

Have not seen him be aggressive. Submissive more than aggressive.

Whys he want to give it away?

I'm being a pain in the arse because I might come get it, but I'm one of those people who believes there's no place on the earth for shitty dogs.

My son is 24 lives alone and has another dog. He is fortunate that he works in the woods and can bring his dog / dogs to work. Keeping up with two dogs on the job isn’t letting him get his work done as well as he would like.

Dog was for a cousin of his girlfriend in Arkansas. While visiting girlfriends family there they saw his condition was pretty bad and wanted to help. He has been having him 4-5 weeks and thinks one dog is enough responsibility at this point.

bump for a good boy.
this would be a great dog for someone with a few acres to run around in. They are also fantastic ride around with you in the truck dogs

I can't take him. Wife nixed the idea. Best of luck. I've had 2 mountain curs in my life and both were great squirrel dogs

Understood. My wife is kind taking a liking to him while he is home with my son this weekend.

I found a mountain cur-ish (nothing registered about her) deep down a FS road near Little River Canyon, AL. She was probably a tad under a year old and near death. She weighed 35lbs. Now 75 on about the same frame.

She is a deceptively smart dog, looks a little intimidating, but is the sweetest dog you'll ever meet.

She is submissive due to being raised w our male shepherd mutt. But I've seen her pull a coon off a fence and kill it in one fell swoop.

Anyway, they are terrific dogs.

Wish I could. We just had a litter of Great Pyrenees and got a handful of dogs now. Great looking dog though

Still have the dog for anyone interested. We decided to keep in BR area this week. He seems to be getting more friendly and comfortable each day.

Besides digging in flower beds, I would recommend him to anyone??
