Chatgpt is recommending at least a 36v, 100#+ thrust, and 60-72" shaft.
I know nothing about the current market. What brand with some kind of gps lock should I get? Probably will get a 36v lithium battery to save space. Already have a house and cranking battery.

I just bought the Minn Kota Instinct Quest. I put it on a 22’ Skeeter and it is fantastic. Boat doesn’t move an inch with spot lock on. Also pushes the boat extremely well. Auto-deploy and stow

I have a guy local selling nearly new minn kota terrova 80# 60". I weighed my tritoon this am. Trailored, it weighed 4740. Will an 80# be enough? Chatgpt said I need 100#+

80 will move it around. I guess it depends on how you plan on using it. Gonna be a dog in any kind of current, wind, or combination of the 2. If just using it in some low current protected bayous it may get you by.
The new generation brushless ones are where it’s at but they are $$$$. The new ones also only come with one size motor it can be either 24 or 36 volt depending on how you power it.

Mostly interested in the spot lock feature for now.

As I said, it depends on the circumstances that you will be using it.

36v is what you’re looking for and if $$ aren’t a consideration; Quest, Power Pole Move $7,000 or Garmin. Toons will need max power due to their kite effect.
Saw a toon today on the water with 2 10’ blades and a Quest, dude was pimpn.

This. That thing will be like a sail, compared to something like a bay boat.
