Nice work guys. Haven't done a thing with our traps since last week. Hope to get back at it soon, but issues on the home front are killing us.

We have a ton of chipmunks in our hardwoods at my camp. I would love to have a predator/prey mount done with a fox and a chipmunk.

Not sure if that is even legal though

Been damn busy around here not much time to trap. Seems everybody and their brother are all of the sudden running out of hay so I have spent most of my time selling and hauling hay. Did pick up this coon this morning

Had to take some coons to the fur man this morning this is about half of what me ands little Angus caught this year

And the obligatory possum pic. Any points for the foot?

I caught this black coyote on trail cam the other day so I am going to load that area up with traps till the end of season. I want to catch him so bad I can hardly stand it

I want a black yote so bad. I'll try and get a pic of some of my fur when I get home. Already shipped a bunch but planning on getting more soon.

How much more is the black one worth vs a normal coyote?

I have absolutely no idea I would probably just tan it or have it mounted. I imagine they would go for a lot more than a regular one though cause as far I know they are pretty rare. The one in that pic is the second one I have ever seen but they may be more plentiful elsewhere I really have no clue

Yeah I've never seen one, I would definitely keep it if I caught or shot one.

Had to pull my line last week. Going to try to get started getting something out on one more spot in the next few days. Have less than a week left on predators. Then I hit beaver hard.

It has been a decent year. I pulled my traps this morning cause season ends on the 20th. Here at the last I put every trap I had to catch the black coyote but no luck. He better be watching his back though cause I will be in those woods trying to call him till turkey season. Took the rest of my fur off this morning and my final tally was
29 coons
26 grey fox
4 bobcats
4 coyote
And enough possums to feed the wolves of Yellowstone for at least 2 months.
Smoke keep us going with some updates

What do you do with all that fur?

I sell it to a buyer it came out to about $900 which probably translates to close to $2 per hour but I would actually rather trap than hunt. It's a lot of work but to me more gratifying in the end.

I don't give a shite what it is per hour...you are getting paid to hunt. Congrats on the season. I love these threads

I'm just now selling some of my fur at auction so I won't know how I've done so far until Sunday. I know I've gotten an average of 27 for my greys and 12.57 for my rats so far. Really kicking myself for not getting any yotes sent to this auction.

I'm not sure how much I'll be able to do with predators. I blew out my transmission yesterday, I'm putting it in shop tomorrow. Until then I'm in a 2wd and that is making me pop off some traps on some of the more remote ones. I'll start hitting beaver hard next week when I get a 4wd again.

Well I guess I spoke to soon. He is measuring right at 50.5 inches to the base of the tail right now. We will see how he does once he get on a board.

I still have 1 yote, 6 coon, 4 beaver and 3 more rats to get hung up but I thought I would share whats going to the next sale. Already sent 37 pelts to the last one. 4 beaver in the back on the freezer are being sold to someone else. Ready to start adding to the pile. Beaver wars start March 1
