New balance minimus

I have these and love them. Highly recommended if you are into minimalist shoes.

I bought a pair of North Face trail running shoes for the Boa lacing system. They're fairly comfortable. It nothing like the Merrell hikers I just bought.

Montrails
New models out this year, very stiff and will last a complete season. I have worn out about 5 pair over the years running pretty rugged terrain and have no complaints.

I've been wearing the merrell trail gloves for about 10 months now. Not the nicest looking shoes, but they're great to run in. They've held up pretty well too.

I have brooks Cascadias and absolutely love them. I also wear mine when backpacking and hiking. They dry quickly, offer good stability without being too clunky and are comfortable to wear all day. They have the brooks DNA midsole in them which reacts differently to each surface and foot-strike so transitioning from trails to road, rocks, grass and mud are all done with ease.

I love brooks shoes for road and trail shoes so i recommend anything by them. Apparently their new trail shoe, Pure Grits are pretty awesome for those looking for a minimalist trail shoe.

My legs always feel better when running on trails as opposed to the road. You may be really sore at first from using new muscles, but running on grass or dirt is much better on the legs overall.

thanks, good to know, i have a pair of brooks running shoes now, love them, they help with the shin splints a lot, but they are coming back... also ive been upping my distance to about 3 miles every time i run. which is usually every other day.

but when i move to denver im going to get a solid pair of trail shoes
