I’ve always felt Massey Ferguson is an underrated quality tractor. Had some old 270s and 290s on the catfish farm once. Relatively low maintenance and reliable they held up better than Case and New Holland tractors but not as good as JD.

We use 50-60hp tractors on the catfish farm. The new JDs are pieces of shite the Regen system on them sucks. I don’t know how good new Massey’s are but I’d look at anything that’s cheaper than JD because JD quality isn’t there for the price. Also mahindra is a total POS. They’re good for working the hunting lease and such but not for heavy farm use imo

I have 9 acres. Would this be overkill?

I don't think it would be over kill but they do make a smaller model. I have 170 acres and use it to cut the roads and cut/disc food plots.

My bad I meant ON Florida, in Livingston yes. The new showroom looks great, glad to see your grandpa is expanding/letting y’all expand the business. He’s a stand up guy.

My dad was John Deere man. When he passed I took possession of both his 50 and 3010. I knew I would never be able to keep them running as dad could so I started looking for.a tractor that I didn't need to worry about starting or breaking down. Around here JD is king so I naturally gravitated there. No one would talk to me. I visited two dealers and even tried e-mailing JD for a recommendation but never received any reply. I mow a lot of grass and had previously purchased a GC 2600 from MF. Not a big fan of the dealer but I found the machine to be built well and runs like a champ so I started an online search. I really like their website and through it I was able to describe my need. I was contacted by a young lady, maybe an application engineer, and she asked me a lot of questions around my use, hillside slopes, etc. She then made a suggestion and told me she would speak with the dealer and someone would be in touch. Sure enough sometime in the next 24-48 hours I received a call and went down to visit the salesman. He went over my needs, asked a few questions, put me in a seat and explained why that tractor would work for me. Before I left I bought a MF 2705. It came with a bucket and I bought 6' Bush hog. Because I have some hillsides that make me a little nervous they filled the tires. I also asked them to add another hydraulic control (I know it has a proper name but I don't know what it is) so I could operate a grapple and I purchased a heavy duty Blue Diamond root grapple from an equipment dealer nearby. The MF dealer didn't mess with grapples. Too bad for him though as even my wife tells me the grapple is the best thing I ever bought.
Anyhow, I couldn't be more pleased with the purchases and it really all came about because of the willingness to help from some lady at a corporate office and the knowledge of a salesman.

Yes, we are also selling Dixie Chopper, Grasshopper, and BigDog zero turns. We will have outdoor power tools by Ego and Redmax. No SxS yet. I am not sure if we want to get into that.

Your dealership is less than a mile from my house. I’ve been watching the remodel and seeing the new machines arrive constantly. The store looks great. I may be a potential customer in the future.
